Founded in 1997, Betray My Secrets was a side project uniting 2 members from the band DARKSEED and the guitarist X-ti from MEGAHERZ. Even though no official announcement was made, it is considered disbanded, as their only album was released in 1999. The particularity of this project is certainly the mix of hard doom metal with folk music from the Middle-East, with many Persian influences. The result sounds a bit experimental at times, but is very interesting and refreshing. The singer Stefan Hertrich and X-ti now have a new similar project called SPIRITUAL.
